Thank you to Melanie for being the best general studies teacher ever! You gave us so many unique opportunities to explore art, as well as the relationship between art and activism. I learned a lot, and I developed a new passion that I never would have discovered otherwise. I especially loved going to visit the arts center every week; it was such a unique experience! Also, I appreciate all of your advice to me and other scholars in general studies, seminar, and in passing. Thank you for making this an amazing summer!

There are so many people here that I should say thank you to for making my experience as great as it has been, so instead I’m going to say thank you to GSP. Thank you for bringing me and all these people together, without which I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the program. My teachers, the staff, and my peers all helped contribute to this. Thank you for giving me an experience of open-mindedness, respect, and the overall feeling of community. Thank you for helping me explore my own and others values and thanks for the great movies. Thanks GSP for giving me a summer that I’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who planned and prepared for our GSP experience. When I walked across the campus of Centre College for the first time, I was extremely excited to meet new people and enjoy the next five weeks as a community. However, this past summer has exceeded my expectations. Nothing can ever compare to a program that connects other high schoolers across the state of Kentucky for this amount of time. Not only have I developed my writing and communication skills, but I have been able to enjoy doing so alongside other great scholars. For that, I just want to say thank you.

There are so many people at GSP that I am extremely thankful for; they have made my GSP experience one of the best in my life. Thank you to my teachers, Hayley and Jim, you both have taught me so many new things and I am so grateful for that. Both of you have provided me with new knowledge and perspectives. Thank you to my RA, Mallory. You have done so much for our hall and for myself. Thank you to my seminar leader, Elizabeth. Thank you for keeping things real and interesting, and thank you for answering my many questions about college! Thank you to Bryan, Joey, Jenny, and the rest of the faculty for working so hard to allow me to have this experience. And last but not least, thank you to all of my fellow scholars. You have all become some of my best friends, and I will forever be so so thankful for you all. Thank you GSP for providing me with some of the best five weeks of my life!

I'm thankful for most people at GSP, but the people that are the unsung heroes are Ms. Jill as well as Chef Patrick and the cafeteria staff. Each day behind the scenes they work hard to do things that we all often take for granted. The variety of ingredients that are used in the dishes at Cowan Dining Hall goes unnoticed often as the amount of times that food gets thrown away after only a few bites doesn't sit well with me . As for Ms. Jill, the janitorial work she does is something I greatly appreciate, especially after seeing how quickly scholars dirty things up right after they're cleaned. I can't say thank you enough to you guys and I hope they can get the recognition they deserve.
